Daffodil Cake

So I decided to make a little daffodil cake. The cake is a buttercake with raspberry filling and lemon frosting. It's covered in fondant and decorated with little fondant daffodils. =o) It was fun to make!!

August 2008 - LadyBug Cake

Linda Clemmer designed this little ladybug cake too. I think it is soooo cute! And it came out pretty good! I was pleasantly surprised! (I'm not really big on sheet cakes)!

Mom's 50th Surprise Birthday Party

So my sister, Jenn, and I decided to have a surprise birthday party for my mom since she is turning 50 this year! We sent out invitations and did all sorts of planning etc, and it worked out great. She had noooo idea. She even cried when she realized how much work everyone had done and that everyone was there for her. It was really sweet! Anyway, so of course I had to make the cake. There are definitely some things that I would change about it...but everyone seemed to love the decorations...but better yet...they thought the cake was delicious! I finally found a GREAT recipe! Whoo hoo!! (And yes...it's not your imagination..it's leaning slightly!!
