Valentine's Day Cookie Cake with a Rosette Heart (and Tutorial)

The perfect Valentine PlayDate Cookie!

At least it was perfect for our playdate! I tried a new cookie cake recipe (which I really liked). The company was great, the cookie cake was cute, and our children had fun. What more can you ask for?

The recipe? Sure, I'll share it with you! You can find it, right here.

How did I make this? Easy. Keep reading for the tutorial.

Bake your cookie. I used a 12" cake pan! After it cools, place a cookie rack under the pan and over the pan. Flip the pan over. Remove the pan; put the cookie rack back onto the bottom side of the cookie and flip it again. Remove the top cookie rack and start decorating!

My choice of frosting and sprinkles. Wilton tip 1M.

Cute out a paper heart. Place it on your cookie.

Carefully trace around the heart with the paring knife. If you look carefully, you can see the knife line, which is how I will know where to put my frosting.
Now you can pipe the outline of the heart in rosettes.

Fill in the heart outline with more rosettes. Pipe a border and add sprinkles. Et viola, c'est finis!

Thanks for visiting and Happy Valentine's Day!
