My B-day

Here's my b-day cake! I made it myself! Chad wanted to make my cake, but since this is what I love to do...I told him that I wanted to make it myself! It's all buttercream (I know, weird for me since I just love fondant!) It's vanilla cake, filled with peach filling, and decorated in vanilla buttercream.

Cupcake Time

I decided to make some Jumbo cupcakes and have a little photo shoot. Here's how it turned out!

Hot Air Balloon Petit Fours

One of the girls in my primary class requested cupcakes with balloons on top. Since she was moving to a different ward, I decided to go ahead and make her special treats. However, I decided that I would do Hot Air Balloon Petit Fours (since I had never made them before). The chocolate frosting is supposed to look a little bit like the base of a hot air balloon. And the suckers are to represent the balloons! Enjoy!

It's a WAVE of color!

And just in case you were wondering...it was not a good idea to give out all these suckers. All of the primary kids from other classes and adults were asking for suckers. I only had the ones that were on their cupcakes. And the kids had all licked theirs.

What do cars, fire trucks, trains, and high heeled shoes have in common?

Nothing...except it was time to make more cookies and I liked them! I made lots of them and took pictures, but I didn't like the way they turned out. So I decided to go with a more artistic picture. The only problem was that I had already packaged the cookies and didn't have time to unwrap them and then wrap them back up. So that being said, sorry if the cookies are a little hard to see!

Photography 101

I took a 6 week photography class and decided to make a cake for the final class. The cake flavor was Orange Dreamsicle with Buttercream Dream frosting. It was delicious! The cake is actually made out orange sherbet and yogurt! (I never would have guessed that it had sherbet in it, if I didn't know)! The little man on top was our photography instructor.

The cake itself! A couple of camera's, a lens cover, camera strap with the instructor's name on it, and a giant flash.

Don't worry! I can spell! It does say SPRING 2009 (the g is covered up by the blue tablecloth).

I thought I would re-name the class! It was actually called Basic Photography. That just didn't fit on the little fondant paper!
