Home made Cream Horn recipe and tutorial!

I love Cream Horns! So I decided to make them myself! It turns out, they are super easy to make and absolutely delicious!

Ingredients:

Frozen puff pastry dough (in the freezer section)

Special Equipment:
Cream horn molds (also called Lady Locks)

This picture shows how tall the cream horn molds are compared to tip 1M and a tip 1.

Cream Horn Filling Ingredients:

1 lb powdered sugar
1 cup shortening
1 tsp vanilla
dash of salt
1/4 cup boiling water

Directions: Mix all ingredients in a blender for about 5 minutes.

Absolutely delicious cream filling! It would also be a great donut filling!

So here goes...

1. Thaw your pastry dough for about 30 minutes.

2. Roll your pastry dough out on a floured surface.

3. Grab your pizza cutter and cut your pastry dough into strips about 1" wide.

4. Grab your cream horn mold and start wrapping the rolled dough around the pastry horn. Make sure they overlap.

5. Lay them on a cookie sheet.

6. Bake at 400 F for about 12 minutes. Remove the cream horns from the mold while they are hot.

7. Let them cool and then fill them with cream and dust with powdered sugar!
