Tasting plate

I put together a little tasting plate for a bride. Enjoy!

That's really neat. What did the tasting plate consist of?

The bride was interested in vanilla cakes. So I had two different kinds of vanilla cake and then I threw a piece of chocolate cake in because it's one of my best flavors! The frostings: vanilla SMBC, IndyDebi's buttercream, and Buttercream Dream.
The little splashes of red are a strawberry filling. I just put them all over to make it look balanced. LOL.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love the idea of a tasting plate. I haven't done a tasting yet, but I am hoping to be able to use your idea at some point.

Did you get IndyDebi's buttercream recipe from cakecentral.com. I've read about her there and I've also seen her web page. I've heard it's really good and holds up well especially in hot weather. Do you have problems making it? I've read of people having problems with consistency.

I've never had any trouble with IndyDebi's buttercream. It's always turned out great for me. You should try it. I did get the recipe on CC as well.
